Tay's Favorite Things Fridays (TFTF) - sugar & succulents

Y'all: this might be the most exciting thing EVER!!!

happy, happiness, brown bag, shops, entrepreneurs, small shops

I enjoy the summertime, but I have a special kind of love for autumn. It's truly my favorite season and each year I'm so thrilled for the crisp air, campfires, pumpkin patches, and being cozy...I could keep going but I think you may have previously experienced one or two of rounds of this season in your lifetime.

My birthday is August 30th, and as a child it always fell on or around the first day of school. Thus marking the end of summer, and beginning the transition to the best few weeks of the year.  In celebration of summer, indulging in the moment, living an authentic existance, my upcoming birthday, and the excitement of fall: I'm so enthusiastic to introduce to you:

Tay's Favorite Things Fridays!

On Instagram, I co-host the #loveherlittleshop hashtag, which aims to shine a spotlight on women entrepreneurs and small business owners. I think its so important to support those with the hustle, dedication, and craftsmanship to provide goods and services.

For the next six weeks I will be blogging about some of my favorite products and accessories! I have never cared for a mass-produced item with the same intensity as something made by a small business. I sincerely feel these items are alive with the dedication and love from the heart of an entrepreneur.

I think of myself as a curator. This word comes from the Latin word curare, meaning "to take care." I couldn't imagine a more perfect definition. I take great care in selecting my belongings. As you may have read in a previous post, I live by Marie Kondo's KonMari method. I throw anything away that doesn't "spark joy."

Long before reading The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up (which is a sneak-peak additional favorite thing because I would suggest you read it too!) I read a quote by William Morris that has always stuck with me:

WILLIAM MORRIS, beautiful, useful, quote

Curating vintage decor pieces for my store is my career and passion; but I also take care to acquire items for my home and wardrobe that are unique and meaningful. I've teamed up with six amazing makers and entrepreneurs to bring you some of my favorite things.

Check back here on the blog each week for an introduction to my favorite items, exclusive discounts, and giveaways! I can't wait to share with y'all; this is going to be fun!
